The holidays - a time for family, comfort, love and gifts.
Here's the reality though : America spends around $500 billion a year on Christmas gifts and another $8 billion on decorating for Christmas.
I know I have contributed to increasing these numbers every year since I was born. This year I'd like to contribute in DECREASE a different set of numbers.
More than a billion people are living without water on our planet and resort to drinking dirty, unsafe water which causes 80% of diseases and kills more people every year than all forms of violence, including WAR. 45,000 people die EVER DAY from waterborne illnesses.
My mission is to raise $200 by February 15th which will provide clean water for 10 people. Please join me by donating anything you can spare, even a dollar can make a difference.
One billion people, one cause. The least we can do is give one small holiday present.
