Every day, 1,400 kids under the age of 5 die from water-related illnesses. Let's change that.
My birthday is three weeks away, and I am extremely excited to be turning 21. However, earlier this year I learned that millions of kids around the world don't live to turn 5, because they don't have access to clean drinking water--something we take for granted every day. We can change that.
I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know ($21). Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Also, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
