Hello All!

On Saturday night I welcomed by baby brother, Jesse-Jagadish, into the world. He weighed 8lb 1oz and is 20 inches tall. Both he and my Mum are doing well and I can't wait to take him home tomorrow.

I'm really excited to be a big sister (look at the picture of J-J and ME!).

In case you're curious, my baby brother is named after two of our great-grandpas (Jesse Smith and Jagadish Chand Sood). The world has changed a lot since they were J-J's age. Things that they could have never imagined, like wifi and smart phones, we now take for granted.

One thing which hasn't changed, however, is that there are still a lot of kids (some of whom are the same ages as J-J and me) who don't have access to clean drinking water. Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

In lieu of gifts for J-J (I'm going to share my things with him), I'd love it if you could donate to my charity: water campaign. With $10,000, we can ensure a community in need gets a well.
