Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

Join the Sanctuary Tulsa community as we participate in the Advent Conspiracy. We give a lot of gifts during Christmas, but what would happen if we didn’t give that extra sweater or toy, and instead gave that money toward providing easy access to safe, clean drinking water?

We believe these kinds of acts of mercy are near to the heart of God. Scripture says in Matthew 5 that God causes the sun to rise on the just and the unjust, and He sends rain to the righteous and the unrighteous. It would seem as though God simply cares about people. As the church, we too should be about the business of caring for people - particularly those that cannot offer us anything in return.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
