Hey friends!
This year, I'm pledging my birthday to help those without access to clean water. Since I'm turning twenty-six, my goal is to raise enough money to provide twenty-six individuals with clean water.
By donating $30, you can actually provide clean water to one person. How amazing is that?! If you're thinking $30 is too much, I challenge you to make a $15 donation in place of that delicious birthday cocktail you were planning to buy me.
Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 4,100 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
Oh, and did I mention that 100% of your money goes to building clean water projects?! Private donors cover their operating costs, so you can give knowing your whole gift will help bring clean water. Lastly, once these projects are complete, charity: water will send photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community you helped.
Cheers!
