Clean water-it's a granted part of our everyday lives. in sink taps all over the house, in water bottles, and even toilets.
To think that 785 million people (two times the US population!) in this world don't have access to clean water is shocking.
So this year I wanted to leave the materialistic gift-giving behind and actually give back to those who are less fortunate. By reaching my goal of $1600, 40 people will have access to clean safe water. allowing for children to divert more attention to education, mothers to their families to and communities to grow, instead of worrying about whether or not they will have the chance to get a drink of clean water today.

and the best part, after your donations are put to use, charity water will send you an email with pictures of what you helped create. (although my bday is Mar 10, donations will still be accepted up until June!)

I am pleased to notify you of the completion of our project! Thanks to your funds and those of other campaigns, charity: water constructed a well with a handpump serving 310 people in Sierra Leone. Almost a month after kickstarting my campaign, I am so proud of how much we have raised. I'm so glad to have so many people in my life who are willing to support my cause, none of this would be possible without each and every one of you so thank you so much!
