I turn 50 years old on November 26 of this year.
I am celebrating this milestone by running the Atlanta Half-Marathon on Thanksgiving Day, which is the day before my birthday (I'm thinking of wearing a shirt that says, "My last day in my 40s").
What do I need for my birthday, or in my life for that matter? Nothing. Not a thing. My family and I are blessed beyond belief.
What would I like for my birthday? To provide a well that would supply clean drinking water to a village of 250 people. Price-tag: $5,000.
So that's my goal for my birthday. Raise $5,000.
