The Alaska Summer Showcase is raising money for Charity:water !
Welcome to our campaign page! We had a great turnout on Mar. 29. Folks from all over Alaska gathered at the Alaska Native Heritage Center to jumpstart their summer. Learn more: http://www.alaskasummershowcase.com
Here in Alaska, we're blessed with abundant, clean water.
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday.
The Alaska Summer Showcase has committed to help charity: water build low-tech/high-functioning water filtration projects around the world. Our event was designed to give Alaskans a chance to jumpstart their summer travel plans. By partnering with charity:water, we're jumpstarting the effort to bring clean water to people throughout the world. That's a good thing.
Please donate to the campaign. Although we're still cleaning up after our day-long extravaganza, we're still accepting donations.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
This campaign brought clean water to Shafawda, Ethiopia and 1 other project.

Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.
100% of the money raised by this campaign is being used to bring clean water to help those in need. In 21 months we’ll be able to show you exactly where the money went and who it helped.
