I'm turning 18 this year, and I don't think there's any better way to ring in my entry to adulthood than helping those in need.

In my eyes access to clean water is a human right. Not an economic good, or luxury for the rich. Yet people all around the world simply don't have access to it. From Africa, all the way back home here in Canada people are forced to drink dirty contaminated water to survive. Millions of people around the world don't live to see their fifth birthdays. And why? Because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water.

I'm asking for $18 from everyone I know, or more if you would be so kind. Even $1 will make a HUGE difference if it's all you can manage. Every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll be able to see the communities we've helped!
