Over 40% of Haitians lack clean water or "DLO" as they call it. Let's change that. Help me, help Haiti!
Have you ever thought of a day without water? How would you quench your thirst, clean your body or jump into a pool on a hot summer day?
Recently, I found myself in a taxi driven by a man who was from Haiti. Through our discussions, it became increasingly evident that the man and his country placed a high value of importance on water. I was immediately transported back to memories of a time when I was in Antigua and played basketball with the locals, some of which were Haitians. After our game, the players commented on how great it was to drink clean water unlike back home in Haiti. I considered water in Antigua to be alright but certainly less favorable than the cleanliness of water in the United States.
I asked my cab driver if he would ever return back to Haiti. He smiled and said "food and water here...no struggle...back home, different story." No one should have to struggle to have one of life's most basic necessities: clean water.
Therefore, help me contribute to solving the water crisis in any way I can -- please donate to my campaign.
100% of everything we raise will directly fund water projects. And when those projects are finished, charity: water will send us proof in pictures and GPS coordinates, so we can see the actual people and communities we impacted.
