On August 21st, I'm turning 30. At first, this seemed surreal. But then I thought about the fact that millions of people don't live to see their 5th birthday. And why? Because they didn't have access to clean, safe water. So, I'm realizing I should be grateful that I'm turning 30. In fact, I'm celebrating my birthday like never before.
I'm asking for $20 (enough money to provide 1 person with clean water for their ENTIRE LIFE) OR $30 (to celebrate my 30th!) from everyone I know - and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater projects in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth. If you can't give $20 or $30 - give whatever you can - Every penny counts. My goal is to raise $600 by my birthday, August 21st. This will provide 30 people (1 for every year I've lived) with clean, safe drinking water for their lifetime. If you can give more - Awesome - I would be extatic to exceed my goal. Please consider helping me make my birthday matter in a real way this year.
