I may not have everything I want but I definitely have everything I need. So all I want for my birthday is to fund a clean water project for a community. Help me do it and have the best birthday ever!

A couple of years ago, I had the privilege of being introduced to a phenomenal charity called Charity Water. Charity Water's goal is to provide safe, clean drinking water to the nearly one billion people on the planet who go without it. Their mission is simple but making it happen is a bit of a physical challenge. The only way to bring clean drinking water to people in some parts of the world is to actually build wells. These wells make it possible to access clean drinking water from beneath the earth's surface. Instead, in some communities, women and children have to walk hours each day to collect dirty, sludge-filled water that they know may make them sick. And because making the trip takes the better part of the day, children miss school. Mothers are away from their families. Access to drinking water can change literally lives and improves the quality of life immeasurably.

Here's the math. It costs $5000 to build one well, a well that will serve a community of 250 clean drinking water for 20 years. That breaks down to $20 a person...which breaks down to one dollar per person per year!!! It's a staggering statistic in only that it is completely achievable yet there are still so many who go without. My goal is to raise that amount by my birthday, August 2nd. So I'm asking that you give. Let's change the world together!
