If you know me, you know I LOVE birthdays, especially mine! This year I'm celebrating my 24th birthday (on 7/17) a little differently. I don't want presents or drinks or a crazy night at the club. I want clean water!

Women and children around the world walk hours every day to collect water for their families. This water is unsafe; and diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. I recently learned that millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean drinking water. Let's help change that! I'm asking all my friends and family to donate my age in years (or whatever generous amount you feel inclined to contribute) to my campaign.

100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects around the world, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. I can't think of a better birthday gift. :)
