Fight Darkness, Give Money.
Every year on my birthday I try and remind myself that I am not the center of the universe.
The last two years, Melissa and I have matched donations made to one of my favorite charities.
People all over the world are dying because they don't have access to clean water. There is a power in making choices. Where ever you get to make a choice, that is when you have power. Use your power to defend and support those without it.
Here are the numbers for the last couple years:
2012: $300 goal, $416 raised
2013: $500 goal, $1,083 raised
2014: $1000 goal
It feels very small when considering the overwhelming need, but small is a start. Today is a good day. We can fight back the darkness together.
