September. The month in which, 24 years ago, my life was launched! Each year, my family gathers to celebrate my life during this time. I have only fond memories of past birthdays. And, with this birthday, through a charity:water campaign, the memories of others will be fond as well. Here's the WHY, HOW, WHAT of this campaign.

WHY?
I am prone to imagining what my birthdays would have been like if I were born in a place like Orissa, India, where most of the villages do not have access to clean drinking water. I might have died before the age of 5.

HOW?
So, this birthday, I'd like to join with charity:water in their September campaign for Orissa, India. I'm inviting you, as my family and close friends, to join with me!

WHAT?
Every penny that we raise together, will go directly towards water projects for India. That's the charity:water model ("using 100% of all public donations to fund water projects, and proving where every dollar goes with photos and GPS coordinates").

So my goal is to raise enough money for at least ONE FAMILY to obtain clean water forever (http://www.charitywater.org/september/13/). I'm asking for donations in the amount of my age, but you are free to give whatever amount. I would simply love for you to give what you can so that the babies that will be born this month can look forward to a life past the age of 5.
