Heyyyyy frrriiieeennndsss!
This year for my birthday I figured I'd like something better than last minute gifts bought/found in a panic (ie- glitter lotion that you have left over from when you were 13, a gift certificate to "Dicks Sporting Goods" from that time you won MVP on your kickball team, or a regifted copy of "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul" wrapped in newspaper wrapping paper). Oh, hell No.
Instead, why not donate to this awesome cause! I once had the honor of living in a rural village in Mali that had just received a pump that gave them access to clean water. I was able to see first hand the impact of the pump and directly benefit myself (I wasn't about to hike a couple miles just to get some drinking water). But many people do, and that sucks. So this is important, guys!
The default amount to donate is $25. Now, I know thats a little steep for most of my friends(especially if you're as broke as I am) so more modest donations are also welcome! If you can't swing the $25, I suggest donating what you would spend to make me a home made birthday cake or dinner for my special night. I think most of you would spend atleast $10 on my birthday, so instead, spend it on helping supply the needy with clean drinking water!
Pretty please?! It would make my birthday amazing if we could reach my fundraising goal!
