Greek pharmakeia (Greek: φαρμακεία), or pharmaceutical drugs, that are widely known in modern society as ‘medicine’, derives from the Greek word pharmakon (φάρμακον). Pharmakon at it’s root has three individual interpretations of it’s meaning. The first being the administration of drugs, the second being poisoning, or medicinal potions and the third being sorcery and magical arts which are often found in connection with idolatry (found in connection with the worship of false gods). Within the English translation, it correlates to ‘witchcraft’ – a magical or irresistible influence, attraction or charm.

What is not common knowledge is that such drugs induce changes in our body chemistry, effecting our bodily functions and metabolic processes.
