Each year, I am reminded of how blessed I am by the people that I've met, places I've traveled and the experiences I've had.

Since turning 40, I've tried to think of ways I can make an impact, regardless of size, on the world and my community. This year, I'm seeking your help to partner with me to raise funds towards freshwater projects in developing countries.

Why partner with me? Because I found out that millions of people don't live to see their 5th birthday. And why? Because they didn't have access to clean, safe water.

I want others to have the chance to celebrate their 42nd birthday. I'm asking for $42 from everyone I know - and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater projects in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.

AND charity: water is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, so all donations made directly to the organization are tax-deductible.
