My birthday is almost here. I'm excited about getting older, wiser & prettier but mainly I'm really thankful to have lived another happy, healthy year. In our everyday lives we take so many things for granted -- electricity, water, safety... And at this very moment somewhere else on this same Earth people don't have either of those.
This year, I have decided to give up my B-day so that whatever money was going to go towards me would go to charity: water.
By donating a dollar or two or perhaps a bit more, we will be able to bring clean drinking water to kids and families around the world. If you want to get me a gift or treat me to a drink or coffee, please instead donate the same ammount to this charity. Every penny of the money raised (100%) will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show you exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
