On Aug 21st, I'm turning 32. AHHH! CRAZY! At first, this seemed surreal...30 was one thing, but now I'm entering mid 30s? Seriously?!

But, I humbly found out last November that millions of people don't even live to see their 5th birthday because they didn't have access to something as simple as clean, safe water. In Nov 2010, my husband and I got the chance to hear the founder of Charity:Water speak, and I was overwhelmed with his story and his charity.

I realized just how blessed I am to always carry around a water bottle to stay super hydrated, to take hot showers, to swim in pools, and to wash my dishes....at will, anytime I want.

So, I'm not scared of turning 32 anymore. In fact, I'm celebrating my birthday by asking for $32 from everyone I know - and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater projects in developing nations! Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.

My goal is to raise $5000 (the cost of one well) by my birthday, this Sunday Aug 21st! Join me and let's create a well together!

If you can't contribute, I hope you were at least made aware of this need now, and might even consider contributing YOUR birthday this year as well!
