Some people have no clean water. They deserve clean water more than I deserve birthday cake.

Do you love water? I love water.

On August 5 I'll have completed my 23rd year of taking the fact I have access to clean drinking water for granted. The hardest decision I have to make about water is deciding which novelty Toy Story cup I want to drink it from. Meanwhile, others drink fouled water in the hope they'll go another day without thirst. My luck in being born in Australia doesn't entitle me to ignore this.

Since I know you all just ADORE me and want to spend all your money on presents to make me happy, make me even happier by donating as much as you can afford, and help make someone else in the world as lucky as we are.

All of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.

I will also hug you if you donate. The intensity of said hugs will be determined by the size of the donation, so cough up the dosh if you want a big squeeze from me.
