Have you ever said, "I'm dying of thirst?"

If so, I bet you didn't really mean it.

If you're like us, you don't spend too much time thinking about water - it's everywhere we go. When we're thirsty, we flip a handle or push a button. When we're dirty, we twist a shower knob. When our garden needs watering, when our pasta needs to be boiled, when we use the bathroom - water's just there for the taking.

But for a billion people on the planet, it's not. Millions of women and children have to walk hours each day to get water from muddy ponds and rivers. And much of that water is infested with parasites and leeches. In fact, 80% of all diseases in the world are caused by unsafe drinking water and lack of sanitation.

Every 19 seconds a child dies from these PREVENTABLE diseases. That's 4,500 kids today! Five months ago we lost one of the most special people in our lives. We know the pain of losing someone we love. If you knew Diane, our mom, wife, nini, friend - you know she was one of the most generous people who walked the earth. We would like to honor her legacy of giving by starting a clean water campaign.

Only $20 can give someone clean, safe water for two decades. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to build a well in a developing nation. And the cool thing about Charity:Water is that they spend 100% of the money we raise directly on the water projects. Even better, when our projects are complete you will be able to see who your money has helped. Every dollar is tied to village and all the wells are posted on Google Earth! Also, when we reach our goal a plaque will be placed on the well honoring the life of Diane Seibert. May we honor her life by bringing life to others!
