I am donating my birthday this year to, “Charity Water.” I have been blessed beyond measure in my life, and I need not. If you were planning on spending even $1 on me for my birthday on December 17th, please donate that money to this cause instead. Most of us cannot even fathom what it would be like to try and live a healthy life without this basic essential building block. If it isn’t on your heart to donate to this cause, please at least watch one of their YouTube videos, and also check out, “Pencils of Promise,” which is another great charity that builds schools in poor locations around the globe. Without clean water though, children won’t be healthy enough to attend school which is why “Charity Water,” is such an essential charity.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
