In my work, I am constantly looking at all the different brands of water available and talk about their taste profile as we do with wine. And almost every single day, I think about how fortunate most of us are. We are so over fulfilling our basic needs that we are even selective in the taste of water we drink.

Many people around the world don’t even have the luxury of having easy access to clean water if they even have access at all. According to CDC, that number of people is 780 million. Every day, about 2,200 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.

The buzz around has been on food wastage and plastic, yet not water. I believe it's because we are that fortune being born in a first world country that even our toilet water is clean.

So for my birthday this year, I started this fundraising campaign to help those that are even less fortunate than the hungry.

I donate to water.org every year and chose charity: water for my campaign as they will send us photos and GPS coordinates so you can see the exact community we helped.

Please join my cause, share our fortune by donating and help save some lives. One less pair of shoes, one less meal of eating out, one less drink at a club, one less bottle of wine means someone gets to live.
