On January 30th 2011, I'm turning 19 years old.
I started thinking about what I want for my birthday and everything I come up with, I don't need or already have. For over a billion people, there's something that they do need and don't have and that's clean water to drink. I can walk 20 feet to the faucet for clean water, but for so many men, women and children, it takes hours and hours to get to dirty water that they use for drinking, cooking, and bathing their children.
So this year I decided that what would make me really happy is if the people I know who want me to have a good birthday would donate $19 so that together we can build a well that can give clean water to an entire village.
