There are 800 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's change that!

VonChurch is a staffing agency in San Francisco that provides the talent that allows digital companies to evolve. Our niche is in the gaming, big data, mobile advertising, music tech, creative and innovative industries.

In 2012, we wanted to choose a charity and dedicate our time and energy to raising money for a great cause. A couple of our employees were at a client visit and at the time were lucky enough to be invited to sit in on a presentation by Scott Harrrison, founder of charity: water. It was a very eye opening presentation that as a company we were unaware of.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, 2,200 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand Filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

We started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and we need your help.

We are hosting an event in San Francisco on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at The Wild Hare (California and Divisadero). 10% of the proceeds from the evening will be donated directly to charity: water. We will also be selling raffle tickets for some exciting prizes as well as hosting a shuffle board tournament.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
