Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink--even the water in our toilets is clean!
But so many people don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. It DOESN'T have to be that way! There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that can help provide clean water to communities around the world.
We started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects, and we are looking for anyone who can help. Please consider purchasing an original piece of artwork--your pet hand painted on an ornament. In the past six years, the $8200 we have raised means nearly 275 people on the other side of the world will have safe water to drink. 100% of your money will be used to build clean water projects for people in need, and when they’re completed, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we've helped.
Every $20 ornament sold means we are one step closer to everyone in world experiencing what we so often take for granted, the health and dignity from being able to consume clean, safe water. Your holiday shopping can make a world of difference!
