Most of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water we give our pets is clean! But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.
It doesn’t have to be that way! There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that provide reliable and permanent sources of clean water.
We started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects. Please consider purchasing an original piece of artwork--your pet hand painted on an ornament. Your entire donation goes directly to the field and will be used to build clean water projects for people in need. And when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
Every $20 ornament sold means we are one step closer to every person in this world experiencing what we so often take for granted, the health and dignity from being able to consume clean, safe water. In the past five years, the $6800 we have raised means 226 on the other side of this earth now have safe water to drink. Your Christmas shopping can make a world of difference!
