Every day, 1,400 kids under the age of 5 die from water-related illnesses. Let's help change that!

My birthday is almost here... Dang it! I'm really thankful to have lived another happy, healthy year. In 2010 Jonathan and I visited Ethiopia to bring our son Carter home and saw firsthand the shocking need for water... Including young children collecting what they could from ditches and storm drains in paint buckets or any other container they could find. I imagined the life of other children not as fortunate as my son and learned that millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. We can help change that.

I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they're been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
