My name is Winston. I’m 8 years old, and I live in Canada — a country full of clean water. But not everyone is that lucky. My mom was a water researcher, so I’ve learned how important clean water is for staying healthy. One day, I saw a video about kids and families who didn’t have clean water. Kids walk miles and miles to just get water which is dirty and they cannot go to school. The water they used was full of germs. It made the people sick.

That moment changed how I see water. I realized how something simple, like clean water, can mean life or death for someone else. I knew I wanted to help.

We can help make a difference. Even though we’re still kids, our voices matter. We can tell others about this problem, and we can do small things that help in big ways.

Together, we can be water heroes.
