Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

charity: water is the philanthropy of the Zeta Alpha chapter (Bradley University) of Alpha Phi Omega (a national service fraternity). This semester we hosted a 5k race called the 5k for Clean Water to benefit charity: water and with over 30 participants we raised $450! Earlier in the semester as a chapter we competed with other area chapters to see who could raise the most money for charity: water through coin wars as part of our lead-up to the Tri-sectional conference that we hosted. Currently we are approximately $200 short of our semester goal of raising $1100 for charity: water. Please consider helping us in this effort as they do amazing work -- anything you can give is a huge help.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
