hi everybody,
i just wanted to send out one last update. I felt a little irksome having not actually run a marathon after all the hoopla and charity oriented social media posts...So I tried again! and...
2nd time's a charm! Ran a sub 4 hour marathon today at about a 9 min mile pace. Which I hear isn’t too shabby. Thanks again for all of your support!

Also I quick looked up an appropriate quote solely for this update, here it is;
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” JFK

Hi Everyone,
I wanted you to know the marathon was [mostly] a success! I can not thank all of you enough. Together we raised $965 and provided 32 people with access to clean drinking water by helping fund new fresh water wells or through the maintenance of pre-existing ones.
As for the run, I unfortunately didn’t follow my own advice on pre-run dieting and had stomach issues after mile 16. So...I’m just going to run it again Thursday :).
On a personal note;
The creator of charity:water had been a nyc party promoter for most of his life, after a decade he decided he no longer wanted to live an egocentric meaningless lifestyle and created charity;water.
His story, the story of charity:water, is similar to how I’ve felt about myself for the past 5+ years. I thought you’d like to know that in helping with this endeavor you not only provided underprivileged people with clean water but you also helped me to take a step away from a self-indulgent past and a step forward in my ongoing attempt at becoming a better person.
“Nothing of me is original. I am the combined effort of everyone I've ever known.”
Thank you for adding something good to the world and to me.
-Kev & Jaxi.
Please eat more and calm down you're making the rest of us look terrible.
