🎉 Celebrating Birthdays, Transforming Lives 🎉

In December 2024, I had the incredible honor of witnessing something deeply moving during yet another transformational retreat I attended.

Together, as a collective, we raised $300,000 for charity: water. While I had already been a proud supporter of charity: water and other organizations since stepping into entrepreneurship, hearing Scott Harrison speak brought the mission to life in a way that moved me even more deeply. (Besides bawling through his entire talk, of course.)

In that moment, I made a decision that felt completely aligned with who we are as a family: to gift our family's birthdays to raise money for clean water. (I prefer to say "gift" instead of "give up" because the words we choose carry so much power.)

Growing up in India, I experienced my fair share of water shortages. Many of us know what it is like to ration water for a day, but that doesn’t remotely compare to what millions endure daily.

Imagine walking seven hours a day just to collect one bucket of water. Not clean water. Just water. Imagine having to make an unthinkable choice: which of your children gets to drink water today. Imagine deciding whether to use that precious bucket to drink, cook, or bathe, knowing it could still lead to illness or worse.

Today, 703 million people, nearly one in ten globally, live without access to clean water. Every single day, thousands die because of it.

It is heartbreaking.
But it is also something we can change.

We are so fortunate to have clean water at our fingertips, something so essential and yet so easy to take for granted.

In December 2024, on our daughter’s third birthday, our family kicked off this new tradition.

We chose to celebrate differently, by dedicating our birthdays to helping bring clean water to those who need it most. Instead of big celebrations or birthday gifts, we invite our friends and family to join us in giving the gift of clean water.

$40 can provide clean water for one person.
$10,000 can transform an entire village.

It is incredible how something that feels small to us can mean life itself to someone else.

Our dream is to make this an annual tradition that grows with each passing year, creating an even bigger impact as our children grow alongside it.
