Having visited many developing countries and seeing firsthand how many struggle with just the basic necessities, such as clean water, which is the #1 cause of death in the world in most years, and yet it can be readily and easily solved and helps lift up an entire community to new capacities.

Child Mortality: Roughly 900 children under the age of 5 die every day—one child every two minutes—from water-related diseases.

Total Impact: Beyond diarrheal deaths, inadequate water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) contribute to a total of 1.4 million deaths annually, according to 2019 WHO data.

Global Burden: Around 1.8 billion people live in homes without safe drinking water, while 3.6 billion lack safe sanitation at home.
