Having clean water isn’t something I think twice about. Unless there is construction near my house and they accidentally hit a water line and all of the sudden I don’t have water coming through for 24 hours… then I really think about clean water (yes that did happen a couple of weeks ago and yes I was lost at not being able to take a shower). It’s not something I mean to take for granted, it’s just a reality that I am grateful for.

However there are many places in the world where having clean water is not the norm. I’ve been to some of those places. It’s heartbreaking to think about the amount of sickness and diseases that could be prevented simply by having clean water to drink.

I think clean water should be the norm for everyone. And that is why I love charity: water. They have already served millions of people worldwide but they continue to serve more and more.

charity: water does a beautiful job of being the hands and feet of Jesus by helping those in need.
