The lack of humanitarian aid is worsening the water crisis, with only 18% of the current funding being met as of March 2026 (hiiraan.com). The lack of water has significantly decreased crop production, resulting in 6.5 million people in Somalia facing “crisis-level” hunger. Over 2 billion people don’t have managed or safe water. Women and girls in Africa have to walk up to 15 kilometers in unsafe conditions just to fetch water.

If no action is taken, there will not be enough water. Groundwater has been lowering by 30 cubic meters per year. The need to conserve, clean, and provide water is of utmost importance. Water is a basic necessity that everyone deserves. This water crisis is severely affecting the economy, people’s lifestyle, and the environment.
