Grace is turning one this year! Kara, Noah and I are so excited (Noah is really happy because we told him he can get a dog when Grace gets big and her birthday means she's getting bigger) and also grateful.
That's because we found out that hundreds of thousands of children are spending their days walking miles for water.
Clean drinking water is a basic human need and more than a billion people on the planet don't have access to it.
As a family, we want to help change this. Instead of birthday gifts for Grace, we're asking you and anyone we know to donate $20 for Grace birthday to fund water projects in developing countries. 100% of every dollar we raise goes toward project costs (even the credit fee or reimburse so that all your money goes to the project). And when the projects are finished (about 18 months), charity: water will show us just where they were built and who is using them!
I want to raise $1000 -- that's enough to give 50 people clean water nearby.
