703 million people around the world have no access to clean water. This causes countless people to die from waterborne diseases like cholera, dysentery, and typhoid. In addition, many children, mostly girls, are tasked with travelling long journeys on foot to collect it. This results in large numbers of children growing up without an education.
For this reason, I'm giving up my Christmas to ask for donations to charity: water. Instead of gifts, I would like to raise as much as possible so that people can have access to clean water, and to live healthy and safe lives.
Thank you everyone for donating. This money will help people get a basic human need that they would otherwise go without.
