Imagine if you had no clean water. Imagine walking hours to the nearest river to collect water for your family -- water that’s not even clean. Imagine giving that water to your kids. While this might seem unimaginable to us, it's a reality for 800 million people in developing countries.

After learning about charity: water's work, Audrey and her friend, Claire, wanted to help. Back in June of this year, Audrey & Claire (with some help from their little brothers) held a lemonade stand and named it: The Lemonade Project: by Claire and Audrey. But it was not just a lemonade stand for them... they took the time to learn about the importance of clean water and how charity: water works. (You can learn yourself by looking at the video posted below-- it's worth your time!) They also made all the posters, sent emails to friends and family, and baked cookies, and of course, made the lemonade! All tolled, Claire & Audrey raised almost $700-- enough to help 10 people get permanent access to clean water.

That's not where the story ends. Audrey is turning 7 this November. She wants to raise even more and has a new campaign: The Lemonade Project II: by Audrey. (Sadly, her friend Claire moved away, so for now, Audrey is fundraising solo).
