Yo, it's 2015 and a whole bunch of people still don't have access to clean water. What's up with that?

Think about being thirsty for a second. And then think about going to the sink, turning it on, and dirty brown water comes out. That sucks.

It's like that. But always. And instead of a sink, you have to walk a few miles to the nearest body of water and carry back that 40 pounds of dirty water.

charity: water funds their operating costs separately through a group of private donors, so 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects. When they complete those projects, they'll send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made.

You can't imagine how dope it is to get that email. I was in Phnom Penh, Cambodia a couple months ago when I got an email showing me that money from my 21st birthday (and 3 other people's birthday campaigns!) had brought clean water to hundreds of people in a small village a few hours away.
