You and I thankfully have plenty of water to drink, on tap- and even the water that we run through our toilets is reasonably clean!.. Many of us have no idea what it's like to be very thirsty, to be forced to skip work or school, and to instead spend hours walking each day, only to carry insufficient amounts of unclean water home.. Imagine what it's like to have only this sort of option. We can try to imagine, but, in reality, we can still continue to experience being safely supplied with all we need. We can use water any time, and then go on to something else we need or want to experience and do.. sadly many people around the world don’t have those luxuries.

Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and Bio-Sand filters that help provide clean water and new hope to communities around the world. All donations received by this charity go specifically toward these types of life-sustaining projects around the world.

I have committed to a personal monthly donation, and have additionally resolved to use the positive spirit of honoring my birthday to raise $600. for Charity: Water. Because I understand why this is so important, and I know that some of you can understand too, I am asking for your help. I am confident that many of you also know how to give and share from the heart, for the good of others.
