Every day, 5,000 kids under the age of 5 die from water-related illnesses. We can help change that!
Let's face it...if you are reading this, you probably don't worry about clean water. We have plenty of water to drink--even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. Diarrheal disease caused by unsafe water is the second leading killer of children worldwide, and 90% of the deaths that result from diarrheal diseases occur in children under five.
But it doesn't have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand Filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
We started these fundraising campaigns to help Charity: Water build these types of projects around the world, and we are looking for anyone who can help.
Please donate to our campaign, Virtual World for a Real Cause II. Anything you can contribute through this website or in-world is a huge help. (And it is 100% tax-deductible.) Just telling people about the water crisis would help make more people aware of this most basic need.

We’re excited to tell you that 100% of the money we are raising is going to fund clean water projects in Kenya. More than 16 million people in Kenya lack access to clean water, and a growing population is making things harder. But Charity: Water's partner is working to protect sources and build new wells, which is changing all of that, and your donation is going to help make that possible.
All funds raised through this campaign will be given to Charity: Water. When they’re complete, Charity: Water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the results in the community we helped.
