There are 800 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's change that!

Last year for my birthday I decided to start a Charity Water campaign rather than receiving presents from my friends and family. I thought I would really miss receiving gifts; however, I experienced the opposite. So many of us have access to almost anything we could imagine, which makes it difficult to picture not having access to the bare necessities - like water.

800 million people in the world do not have access to clean water. Not only are these people forced to drink dirty, unsafe water, they often have to walk extremely long distances to get it. These conditions are keeping children, especially young girls, out of school. Also, the unsafe water spreads horrible disease. 5,000 kids under the age of five die from water-related illnesses EVERY DAY.

These people don't have to live under those conditions! With our help, charity water can create clean, safe water sources in villages without safe water. I know that $19 is a lot, especially for college students, but it will not go to waste. Every penny that you donate goes directly towards building clean water sources!
