Hi guys!

Back in 2010 I started my charity water campaign in hope that my friends (or strangers if possible) will start giving to fund water projects. I can go on and on about how people are dying without access to clean water and how they really need this money yada yada, but all of you are grown adults who can read for yourselves (link's at the bottom).

So this year for my birthday I'm gonna do it again. You can say that my heart is weak, or that I'm very free. I used to get shit for this campaign. I had friends who said, "wah you damn free!", or "why can't you have a normal birthday?", or even, "you trying to seek attention is it?". But screw it, I don't need dementors in my life (Harry Potter reference ahahaha).

I really don't think my target of USD$500 is a lot to ask for. It's only enough to help 25 people. You can donate ANY amount. USD$100 if you want, USD$2 also can. I really do hope to go beyond USD$500 though. But you'll need a credit card la.

Cocktail at a club, costs maybe..SGD$15? Buying a pair of shoes, maybe SGD$30 at least. Even a simple hawker fare outside can easily cost us SGD$7 per meal. We are an effing lucky bunch of people who are never contented with what we have and we are always wanting more.

And these people need to walk miles to get water which isn't even clean. I think, that we should count our blessings and start giving back. As I've said, any amount will do. It is all part of your goodwill.

My birthday wish this year is not for more gifts I don't need; it's to give clean and safe drinking water to some of the billion people living without it. I want to make my birthday matter this year.

The best part: 100% of all donations go directly toward water projects. And about 18 months after this campaign ends, charity: water will show us where and how every dollar we raised ended up helping in the field. We'll see GPS coordinates, photos and more details about the communities we've impacted.
