4,100 children will die today from water related diseases. Let's change that!

I survived another year, and on March 31st I turned 31! Yes, it's true, 31 isn't as exciting as say, 21 or 50, but I think it's worthy of celebrating and certainly cause to be grateful. Do you know that millions of kids don't live to see their 5th birthday, and it's all because they don't have access to clean water!

There are over a BILLION people without clean water, right now! I know that seems like an impossible number to grasp, but just try to imagine how many people that is. Unclean water and a lack of basic sanitation kills 42,000 people every week, which is more than all forms of violence, including war. That fact is completely unacceptable and should make every one of us want to do something about it. Here's the good news: we can do something about it.

This year I'm giving up my birthday and asking for anyone, who has a cent to spare, to donate to charity: water. 100% of the money you give will go directly to funding wells in developing countries, and you will even be able to track where the money goes by gps once the well has been complete.
