Growing up in country Queensland where we were pretty often on fairly strict water restrictions, I understand just a tiny little bit about what it's like for water to not be a given. But even then, I still had clean water to drink, I was still able to have showers and brush my teeth and stuff - so it's still a far cry from being completely without it.

But many people around the world don’t have even these luxuries. "Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world." Water is essential for life we all know it, we learnt it at school so it must be true. There's lots of wonderful people doing wonderful things all over the world and I wish I could give to all of them, but I guess I chose this avenue because its the bottom line, giving people life so they may live it. It's such a practical way to show God's love to those who need it and deserve it.

I thought I'd put the fact it's my birthday to good use and so if you'd like to, I'd love it if you would consider making someone else's life so much better and making a difference in their world in a way that we can't even really understand.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
