25 never seemed like a big number. But somehow it is this year. I'm turning 25 years old. 25! A quarter of a century. Wow that seems like it flew by. Well I guess I should do something to celebrate that milestone.

When I thought about what to do, I realized I didn't want anything. Last year, I had a really cool party with family and friends. And I had a charity:water campaign: 24for24.

As I thought about the last 25 years, I realized what I love most: helping other people. And my favorite birthday present to date? The overwhelming support of my family and friends for 24for24.

This year I'm going big for 25. I don't want presents or drinks. I want clean water. And I want to raise $1,250.

Why?
Women and children around the world walk hours every day to collect water for their families. And the worst part? The water they collect can make them really sick. Terrible right? Well, we can actually do something about it. Just $20 can give a person clean water to drink.

The best part is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects around the world, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. I can't think of a better birthday gift.
