On March 22nd and March 23rd, the SU charity: water Club held two awesome events.
March 22nd was World Water Day, and to celebrate we rented out the fountain and created a huge awareness raising display. We used our jerry can, had signs printed, and had club members handing out flyers and talking about the organization. We sold wristbands, raffle tickets, and signed up students and faculty members who were interested in donating their next birthday to charity: water.
On March 23rd, bands at TRAX hosted a Rock for Relief Concert to raise money for charity: water. Student and faculty bands including The Project, St. Facade, and Faculty Lounge all played for the audience to help raise awareness of the water crisis and what can be done to help. The September Campaign 2009 video was show as well to educate the audience of what can be done to help.
We combined the money raised from these events and the total will be represented above. Thank you for your support!
