Alright suckas, let's talk about water. I like water, you probably like water. Not everyone has it. Lots of people around the world spend almost all their time trying to gather water for themselves and their families. They spend so much time doing it, in fact, they skip out on important other things in life: education, friends, ways to provide food and shelter for their families.

If these people had ubiquitous access to clean water like most people do in the developed world, they can spend their time getting that education, providing for the family, and bringing their entire communities' standards of living up. They could start contributing great things back to the world instead of just trying to not die that day.

Background: My birthday is the 23rd of August, and for the last several years I've tried to raise some money for building clean water wells for developing regions. Maybe instead of wishing me a happy birthday, throw 10 bones towards charity:water to build water wells.

Charity:water is an organization where 100% of your donation goes towards providing clean water. None of the donated money goes towards overhead or advertising or anything other than directly delivering water to people in need.
