goal
I'm going to set a World record wheelie ride for cleaner water in Ethiopia.
That's going to beat the current record of 10.5 miles of sweating, pushing, giving everything I've got. My goal will be upwards of 11 miles!
Sounds rough, right? Well, imagine doing all of that without clean water.
Every week, millions of women and their children walk more than 14 miles just to get water for their families. Most of this water is contaminated, but it's the only water they have. They take the chance of contracting deadly diarrheal diseases with every sip. There's nothing they can do to change this.
So, what can I do?
My mission is to raise $5,000 for water. That's enough a new well in villages that have gone without clean water nearly 10 years. I want every pedal to matter. I'm asking for pledges per lap, per mile or flat out donations to help achieve my goal.
The best part: 100% of everything we raise will go straight to building water projects in the field. Then, when the projects are complete, charity: water will show us just where they are and who they're helping (with GPS coordinates, photos and other details). We'll be able to see the communities we've impacted.
I hope you'll join me in helping now.
When I showed this to Brian, he said, "We need to contribute to this!" Chris, I am really proud of you! Africa is always a cause near to my heart. Thanks for doing this!!!
What a great cause, Chris!
More to come when the record is broke!
not much but i hope it helps.
Great cause...thank you for thinking of others!
